Citizenship Award Nomination Deadline August 31

The deadline for Edward P. Day DLW Citizenship Award is Aug. 31.

If you have not already done so, please consider nominating a neighbor or more than one in DLW who you believe made an outstanding contribution during the year within and outside the community.

A lot of DLW residents are doing a lot of good things and this is a way to recognize their efforts.  Nominations are to be sent to Frank Piazza, 8324 Syracuse Cr., Vienna, VA 22180.

Vandalism of DLW Sign

Either Thurs. or Fri, of this week, the DLW sign at Cottage St. and Gallows Rd. was apparently vandalized and virtually destroyed.  A police report has been filed.  Such criminal acts are extremely rare in DLW and we hope this is not the beginning of a trend.

If you may know anything about this incident, please notify the Fairfax County Police.

The DLWCA Board will be looking into replacing the sign.
